Flu Before Christmas
Staying-up late 6 days in a row preparing goodies and waking-up early to prepare more foodies and doin' other errands(bathing the baby, getting Jethro ready for school, and still managing to go to work on-time etc) eventually took its toll on me.
A day before Christmas, the day I prepared my last batch of revel bars, i woke up with a mild fever, aching joints and really bad headache. I really wanted to stay home that day and rest but we really had to check-in in a hotel suite with Henry's family. Do i let a big boy down? heh
Well anyway, to make the long story short, i spent Christmas eve in bed (skipping Noche Buena), and Christmas Day catching every snooze i can (Boy, did i look so anti-social?). Fortunately (or unfortunately?), in the comfort of a luxurious hotel suite in the metropolis. A Hotel suite is a hotel suite, BUT as they say, there is still no place like home.
AND, on the other hand, despite all the sleeping and snoozing, who says I got a good break from being an amazing milk machine?

i stumbled across your blog while browsing and i noticed your photo are u a muslim or are u taking the mickey out of muslim women because u have your face covered yet ur face is made up? women cover their faces not to draw attention to their beauty yet it seems to me u are drawing a person's attention to your eye's. i am offended by your photo but hey its your life just thought i would let u know no hard feelings!
hi sanj. it's a photoshopped pic. Ninja is the craze these days. i'm sorry that you were offended by that pic. I live in a country with Muslims also and i rspect their culture and religious preference. i' didnt mean to offend anyone.
Relax.. loosen up.. not all people mock your religious preference.. only the stupid ones :)
in fact, this girl also has the same "theme"

thanks for clearing that up no probs, its hard for muslims to relax, i live in england and my fellow muslims are being arrested, accused, discriminated against on a daily basis, and this is england where we have so called freedom of speech, in other countries the situation is far worse. The issue of the veil is a hot topic here because a politican decided to single out Muslim women wearing the veil as a target, women have had their scarves pulled off mosques and being verbally and physically abused, i have two young sons and if i didnt live in a highly populated area of Muslims i would be scared to go out wearing a scarf because of the stupid ones u mention, the law does not protect Muslims against Islamophobia yet jews and sikhs are protected. The media onslaught against Muslims will continue because Islam is a threat to the West, and Muslim women get called ninja too. I appreciate people like you who are not ignorant of other people's beliefs and religions but its unfortunate that people like you are in the minority, the majority believe only what they see and hear on the tv...
